SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: The Remove button, and then after several seconds I get a pop up error message dialog, indicating that the uninstall has crashed: I click Next > a couple of times, then I clicked I clicked the Next button anyway as my only other option at this point is to Cancel. When I click Remove, I get the Setup Support Rules dialog (just like I do for a new installation), and then when I click OK, I get a dialogue box asking what I'd like to remove, however there is nothing to select appart from a block of unselectable textĪccording to the dialog, nothing is going to be removed (usually you see actual features with checkboxes). When I choose Uninstall/Change, I get a dialogue box asking if I want to 'add, repair or remove', and I click Remove: In control panel > Uninstall Programmes, I located the “SQL Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)” programme and clicked uninstall/Change Note: Prior to attempting to uninstall this version of SQL Server 2008 listed below I had removed all mention of SQL Server 2008 within Control Panel > Uninstall Programmes SQL Server 2008 Uninstall problem details I should note I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and I'm trying to unistall the program SQL Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) Anyway I'll detail below the problem I'm having removing it, any help will I've been trying to Unistall SQL completely and re-install a fresh version, my first few installs contained errors.
